MobiBank is entering a major new phase of international expansion, with Nigeria as the first implementation market and several additional countries already in the pipeline to adopt the same scalable partnership model.
MobiBank has selected a new strategic partner and shareholder for its Nigerian operation. The strategic partner has signed a significant investment agreement to acquire a minority stake in MobiBank Nigeria. MobiBank will retain clear majority ownership, its core technology, intellectual property, brand and strategic direction.
The appointment marks a significant step toward MobiBank's operational launch in Africa. The partnership combines MobiBank's financial technology platform and international experience with local market knowledge, established networks, investment capacity and in-country execution.

Nigeria is intended to serve as the first implementation of MobiBank's partner-led international expansion model. MobiBank provides the shared platform, technology, brand and operating framework. The local partner contributes investment, market expertise, networks and support for licensing, distribution and local execution.
The structure is designed to establish a locally anchored operating company while maintaining centralised technology ownership and strategic direction within MobiBank.

MobiBank has selected ten African priority markets for its expansion programme: South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, Angola, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Nigeria is MobiBank's first implementation market, with expansion into the remaining selected African markets planned in subsequent phases. Strategic partner and market-entry negotiations are already underway across these markets.
This scalable international expansion model is designed to create significant new long-term revenue streams for MobiBank through platform services, licensing, transaction volumes, strategic partnerships and locally operated financial services, supporting the company's growth and strengthening its position in the global financial technology market.
"The selection of a new strategic partner and shareholder is an important step toward launching MobiBank in Nigeria. The partner will support the Nigerian company through a significant investment and local execution capability, while MobiBank retains clear majority ownership and control of its technology, brand and strategic direction."
